Do you live with chronic pain? Researchers at Western University want to hear from you!

Researchers at Western University through the Partnership for the Engagement of People in Pain Research (PEPR https://www.pepr-partnership.org) are currently looking for study participants to share their experiences in a survey for their project “Barriers and Facilitators to Patient Engagement in Research and Research Related Activities”. Below is the recruitment notice:

Do you live with chronic pain?

Do you have experience working in a research setting (i.e. involved in research or engaged in research adjacent organizations) as a patient partner?

If so, consider taking part in our survey to share your experiences.

The purpose of this survey is to better understand the barriers and facilitators to patient partner engagement in chronic pain research. Briefly, patient engagement in chronic pain research can range from involvement in study design, to data analysis, to knowledge mobilization, and more.

You’re eligible to participate if you:

  • Have lived experience of chronic pain
  • Have been involved in chronic pain research as a patient partner
  • Are over the age of 18
  • Read and write English fluently

If you are interested and agree to take part in the survey, you would answer 34 questions, which may take up to 20 minutes to complete. Upon completing the survey, you will have the option of entering into a draw for a $50 CAD gift card of your choice.
