New blog post from Joint Journeys, life with arthritis by Carrie: Well…that didn’t go as planned!

In her latest blog, Carrie shares how she had to cut her #VanLife adventures short after a series of expensive van repairs. As she writes from the warmth of her home in Ontario looking out the window at the snow, she reminisced about the magical Christmas celebration in Yukon with her family and her beautiful journey home across the prairies. She draws comparison between her unexpected journey home to her unexpected rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis 15 years ago and what she is thankful for back home.

“I’m bringing forward into today, what I’ve learned from yester-years…years when I struggled to see how my life could be anything like I had hoped for. I’m using those “muscles” I built during those difficult times, to reframe, see my current situation in a new way, from a different angle and to move forward, looking for and focusing on the things I can celebrate, the beauty I believe is all around me…if I but only take the time to stop and take stock of it.” – Carrie
