In her latest blog post, Carrie recounts her triathlon experience. She worked and trained hard and had hoped to achieve a personal best, but Mother Nature had other plans. Carrie ended up swimming in ice cold water and could barely transition out of her wetsuit to start the bike portion of her triathlon. However, her determination kept her going and she redefined what her personal best for the day would be.
“My personal best will need to be a much more fluid concept than a concrete benchmark. Personal Best. Today? Today, I can physically do everything I need to do, but what will tomorrow bring?
