On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Arthritis Consumer Experts (ACE), stands with people across Canada, especially in those jurisdictions that recognize this day as a statutory day: B.C., Manitoba, Prince Edward Island, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Yukon, and New Brunswick and the federal government.
Alongside our partners in the Arthritis Community Learning Circle, ACE expresses deep regret for the harms experienced by Indigenous Peoples and communities due to the history and legacy of Indian Residential Schools.
Today and every day, we honour the Survivors of Indian Residential Schools, their families, and the children who never returned home. We acknowledge the strength and resilience of Indigenous Peoples and commit to walking the path of reconciliation together.
