New blog post from Joint Journeys, life with arthritis by Carrie: Home

In her latest blog post, Carrie shares what it means to be home. In her journey across North America, she has learned to call her tent and van a home that provides shelter from the elements and allows her to cook a nice meal. She revisited her hometown, her summer home from when she was a teenager, the town where she gave birth to her first-born, and even renewed her wedding vows in the place where she met her husband.

As more room is made available in her heart for memories, emotions, and connections, Carrie is left wondering: Where is my home? What is my home? Who is my home? To anyone who’s moved multiple times throughout their life or have many, many places that hold the title of “home” in their life, she applauds your ability to adapt to change. To those considering stepping out of their comfort zone, she encourages you to go for it!

“If you want to venture out, beyond your comfort zone, where certainty isn’t guaranteed…go for it! Take it from me, it is possible, with some planning and preparation, to do it safely and effectively.” – Carrie
