New blog post from Joint Journeys, life with arthritis by Carrie: Today is about the mountain

In her latest blog post, Carrie shares how she overcame the challenges she encountered on the Appalachian Trail. She recounts all the challenges on the trail – from timing when to go to the toilet to dealing with the unpredictable weather to conquering the distance and elevation of the trail. For her, it’s about the perspective and the encouragement to keep going.

“I learned again what it means to take to heart the encouragement I was given to keep pressing on. Reminders to stop, eat, rest, hydrate...to look at how far we’d gone and to look ahead at where we would end the day. Perspective. Small steps still make miles. Slow climbs still get to the top.” - Carrie
