New blog post from Joint Journeys, life with arthritis by Carrie: Raccoon on the roof

In her latest blog post, Carrie shares her joy for snow, the re-opening of a nearby bridge, and change. She has been walking this route over the past six years to and from work and have seen the neighbourbood go through some major changes. She loved seeing the cheerful kids’ artwork pasted onto the big window of a particular house and observing its “resident raccoon”, who would often be seen on the roof or on a nearby tree.

When the bridge re-opened, she had hoped to see the same artwork, the same raccoon, but they were gone. Time had passed. Things had changed, like the many changes many have experienced in the last year. As we near the end of another year, Carrie reminds us to let others know if they have done or said something that has made a difference in your life, refreshed you or helped you to grow.

“If you’re reading this, I’m thankful for you! Writing has been a surprisingly helpful part of my journey. I appreciate your comments and feedback and hope to continue to share my life with you. May this season of reflection bring you a sense of hope, of wonder and of love” - Carrie
