New blog post from Joint Journeys, life with arthritis by Carrie: Where the sand meets the sky

In her latest blog post, Carrie compares her walk on a Florida beach to her journey with rheumatoid arthritis. Like a walk on the beach where you dodge waves and kids and watch out for a random frisbee or volleyball, the unpredictability of rheumatoid arthritis requires a focus on what is in front of you as well as what is in the distance.

“When life throws a curve ball, I have to be ready, not frustrated (frustration isn’t helpful)…and if my pace changes and I’m forced to break stride, head in a bit of a different direction, I know to take the opportunity to slow down and REALLY take in what’s around me….the companionship, the support, beauty, nature, etc…so good…” – Carrie
